Requirements to become a real estate broker:
- Finish 75 hours of pre-licensing education and pass the course final exam.
- Pass the Illinois Real Estate Broker Examination.
- Choose a sponsoring broker.
- Complete an application for your license.
WHAT IS A REAL ESTATE AGENT?
A real estate agent is a catch-all term for a person who buys, sells, and rents properties. In Illinois, we have two licenses: Residential Leasing Agent and Real Estate Broker.
With a Residential Leasing Agent License, you can only rent residential properties.
With a Real Estate Broker’s License, you can buy, sell, and rent all types of properties, i.e., residential, commercial, industrial, manufacturing, and rural

Obtaining your Illinois real estate broker license in Chicago provides you with several advantages. For instance, you’ll receive higher pay and have more flexibility and control in your career. A Hybrid Class at the Chicago Real Estate Institute is a unique learning experience that offers participants the flexibility to attend classes either in-person or online through Zoom, all at their convenience. This hybrid format allows students to choose the mode of participation that best fits their schedule, preferences, and circumstances. Whether you prefer the traditional in-person classroom environment or the convenience of remote learning, the Hybrid Class at the Chicago Real Estate Institute accommodates both options, allowing you to come to class in-person or join online at your convenience.

Hybrid 3-Week Broker Course
The 3-Week Hybrid Real Estate Broker Class is designed to meet the 75-hour pre-licensing requirement. Whether it’s in-person or by Zoom, this flexible option will allow students who prefer an active learning experience with the flexibility they desire.
Days: 3-Days a week Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
