Illinois requires brokers to take a 90-hour broker pre-licensing course as well as pass the state licensing exam to practice. Brokers can assist with the leasing, selling and buying of residential, commercial and industrial properties.
Class meets 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm (on scheduled class dates)
The course is divided into two sections.
- First 75 hours – consists of 45 hours of in class lectures combined with 30 hours of at home self-study (homework) followed by an exam.
- Final 15 hours – Interactive Session – consists of 15 hours of in class application of class material followed by an exam. This portion can be taken in class or by webinar. (6:00 pm to 9:00 pm)
- This class runs over the course of 7 weeks and meets three times a week from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays)
Attendance is mandatory. Students will receive a transcript and assistance with AMP registration after attending every class. All classes are held at Chicago Real Estate Institute located in Lincoln Park at 2711 N Halsted Chicago IL 60614. If a student misses 1 full day of class or more, they will have to re enroll in another program and pay a $150.00 re enrollment fee.
